Non-medics must either hold a NVQ level 3 in Beauty or have 6 months needling experience alongside Anatomy & Physiology Level 3. Needling experience could include Microneedling, Microblading, SPMU, Phlebotomy or similar. Important Information
Day 1 – A theory session on day one is done in small groups and will teach you for example all the relevant anatomy, injection techniques, units and measurements, health and safety, first aid, anaphylaxis, adverse effects, contraindications to treatment, what equipment is required, step by step procedure and much more. You will also get to inject into a fake doll head to prepare yourself for real models.

Day 2 – You will return for a one to one practical session. Not many academies offer one to one training, most of the time training is shared across a group resulting in minimal injection experience. With our course, you will get to inject in at least 3/4 models all to yourself and therefore you will be very confident before leaving! We will also ask you to come back free of charge if we feel that you need to inject in anymore models before signing you off. We want you to be perfect and therefore you will be guided through each procedure by our qualified tutors to ensure each injection is done safely and correctly.
 

  Anti Wrinkle injections primary purpose is the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. They're also used to treat conditions such as neck spasms (cervical dystonia), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), an overactive bladder and lazy eye. Anti Wrinkle injections may also help prevent chronic migraines in a lot of cases.

Anti Wrinkle injections use a toxin to temporarily prevent a muscle from moving. This toxin is produced by the microbe that causes botulism, a type of food poisoning.

BUNNY LINES
Bunny Lines are the wrinkles that appear on either side of the nose, typically visible when smiling, laughing, or scrunching the nose. CHIN DIMPLING
Chin dimpling, often referred to as "pebble chin" or "orange peel chin," can give the chin an uneven or bumpy appearance, typically noticeable when the mouth is moved or the chin is tensed. This textural change is caused by hyperactive mentalis muscles, which are responsible for the wrinkling of the chin. Anti Wrinkle Injections are commonly used to smooth out these dimples and create a more uniform chin appearance.

Cause of Chin Dimpling: Chin dimpling is primarily due to overactivity of the mentalis muscles, which control the protrusion of the lower lip and chin. This muscle can contract unevenly or excessively, leading to a dimpled or pitted appearance on the surface of the chin.

GUMMY SMILE
Gummy Smile, where a significant amount of gum tissue is visible above the top teeth when smiling, can be a concern for some people seeking a more balanced smile. Anti Wrinkle injections offer a minimally invasive solution to reduce the elevation of the upper lip during smiling, thereby minimizing the exposure of gum tissue.

Cause of Gummy Smile: A gummy smile can be caused by several factors, including the hyperactive muscles that control the movement of the upper lip, a short upper lip, excessive gum tissue, or small teeth. Hyperactivity of the muscle around the mouth, particularly the levator labii superioris, causes the upper lip to rise higher than desired when smiling.

SAD SMILE
Sad Smile, also known as a downturned smile, occurs when the corners of the mouth naturally point downward or pull downward during facial expressions. This can give the face a perennially sad or upset appearance, even when the person is not feeling that way. Anti Wrinkle injections can effectively address this issue by relaxing the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth downward, primarily the depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles.

Cause of Sad Smile: A sad smile is often caused by hyperactivity or dominant action of the DAO muscles, which pull the corners of the mouth downward. Aging can exacerbate this appearance as skin loses elasticity and the effects of gravity become more pronounced.

SMOKERS LINES
Smoker's Lines, also known as lipstick lines, are fine vertical wrinkles that form around the lips, particularly above the upper lip. These lines are common among smokers due to the repetitive motion of pursing the lips, but they can also occur naturally with age as skin elasticity decreases and facial volume diminishes. Botox injections can help reduce the appearance of these lines by relaxing the muscles around the lips that contribute to their formation.

Cause of Smoker's Lines: The orbicularis oris muscle that encircles the mouth controls the movements involved in puckering and pursing the lips. Overactivity of this muscle, often exacerbated by smoking, repetitive motions like puckering, or genetic predisposition, can lead to the formation of fine lines.

TRAGUS LIFT
Tragus Lift treatments in the form of anti wrinkle injections is a relatively novel and less commonly discussed use of the treatment. The tragus is the small, pointed cartilaginous flap located in front of the ear canal. In aesthetic medicine, adjusting the appearance of the tragus or its surrounding area with Botox could be sought for more refined and tailored facial symmetry or ear contouring. However, it's essential to note that this specific application is quite specialised and not as widely practiced or standardised as other anti wrinkle injections treatments for facial areas.

The idea of using anti wrinkle injections to affect the positioning or tension around the tragus is based on the ability of the product to relax specific muscles.  This course covers B12 deficiency, diagnosis, treatment and management. It also covers signs and symptoms of pernicious anaemia. This course is interactive and we include case studies and discuss issues regarding diagnostic testing.
We check the inclusion and exclusion criteria and identification of the appropriate patients. Students will get the opportunity to perform live practice with hands-on practical demonstrations of how to give b12 injections correctly and safely. We will cover administration techniques, where to give the injections and record keeping/documentation. We will discuss role and responsibilities and contraindications and precautions.
